What you put in

While it runs

Every line gets read in the context of the ones around it, so it knows the era, the people and the event before it goes looking. Lines that carry themselves are left alone rather than padded with a stock shot. Where nothing was ever filmed, it falls back to photographs.

You tick the ones you want and download a shot list. It opens in Word or Google Docs, one line per pick, each with the link and whether it is a video, a photo or an article. Hand it to an editor and they can work from it without touching this.

What it does not do

It finds, it does not download. You get the video, not the file. The looking is done, the grabbing is still yours.

It points at videos, not at moments. You get the upload that has the shot in it, with why it matched, not the second it starts. Finding the right video is the part that takes the hours; scrubbing the last minute of it is still on you.

It only knows what was filmed. Good on anything a camera was pointed at, useless before that. If your videos are about the Roman Empire you want an image generator.

On an obscure line it will come back with three near misses and you will go looking yourself anyway. It is trying to save you the boring eighty percent, not all of it.
